The company indicated the jump starter can provide enough power to start up even the largest EVs. This includes the Tesla Model S and Ford Mustang Mach-E. It comes equipped with a small diesel engine and a battery pack, ensuring that the jump starter is always ready to go when needed.
โItโs a true hybrid product,โ said Green. โWeโve taken the best of both worldsโdiesel and electricโand combined them into one amazing jump starter.โ

The GreenStart 3000 has already received some early criticism, with some EV advocates questioning the environmental benefits of a diesel-powered jump starter. โItโs like putting a band-aid on a broken leg,โ said EV enthusiast, Mark Sparks. โWe should be focusing on building out more charging infrastructure, not relying on outdated technology.โ
Despite the naysayers, Briggs & Stratton remains optimistic about the future of their product. โWeโre confident that the GreenStart 3000 will be a game changer,โ said Green. โAfter all, whatโs more eco-friendly than a product that helps keep electric vehicles running?โ
The GreenStart 3000 should hit stores later this year. It carries a suggested retail price of $5999.99. Whether it will catch on with the EV crowd remains to be seen. One thing is for sureโBriggs & Stratton is certainly making a diesel-powered splash in the electric vehicle world.
