DeWalt Step Ladder Louisville

Following DeWalt’s entry into the hand tool market last year, we wondered what was next for the company (besides Brushless Impact Drivers, that is). Apparently, it’s ladders. Louisville Ladder entered into a licensing agreement to design, manufacture, and market a line of ladders and ladder accessories under the DeWalt brand. That shouldn’t be too hard, considering their existing fiberglass FS1100HD Series ladders already resemble a DeWalt product, sans the logo. The new climbing line of DeWalt Louisville ladders will include 13 products that offer the performance and versatility that professionals need to tackle nearly any climbing task on a jobsite.

DeWalt Louisville Ladders Features

Among the new DeWalt Louisville Ladders is the flagship DXL3810 stepladder. The DeWalt DXL3810 features wrap-around internal spreaders, non-marring slip-resistant shoes, a heavy-duty metal top with convenient tool slots, and an innovative impact absorption system, which helps prevent damage and extend the life of the ladder.

The combination of all of these features enables the DeWalt DXL3810 to safely support loads of up to 500 pounds (which, while not specified in the release, would indicate that it meets and exceeds OSHA’s Type 1AA classification).

Final Thoughts

All of the new DeWalt Ladders were designed and engineered in partnership with Louisville Ladder, who has been manufacturing ladders for over 65 years. If DeWalt was going to partner with a manufacturer, this is certainly a company with a solid reputation.

It has been a pleasure to work alongside the team at DeWalt. Like Louisville Ladder, DeWalt is committed to delivering innovative, heavy-duty products for the professional market, so the partnership is a natural fit.
