When I’m on the job site, it’s easy to focus on the tools and materials for the job while overlooking the storage and organization…until I can’t find what I’m looking for and start cursing under my breath while I make six trips to the truck for all my tools, laptop, paperwork, and the list goes on. Of course, while I’m leaning over the toolbox, my iPhone is going to fall out of my shirt pocket, and the screen will crack. Again. The Klein Tools Tradesman Pro line aims to fix that.
Should I replace the screen for the fourth time, or am I finally eligible for an upgrade to the next generation of electronic leashes? Fortunately for people like me, Klein Tools has added to its Tradesman Pro line features that should help keep things organized and limit the amount of foul language I’m tempted to use. They are introducing a pair of new organizational bags, two new smartphone holders, and a trio of new meter cases.
Klein Tools Tradesman Pro Tech Backpack
Leading the new products are the Klein Tools Tradesman Pro Tech Backpack and Tradesman Pro Tech Bag. Both were created with the idea of keeping your gear and technology organized, protected, and together in one easy-to-carry bag. “Many technicians have to carry two bags to the jobsite, one for their tools and one for their laptops. With these new Tradesman Pro Tech Bags, you can put your laptop and tools all in one bag,” Project Manager Linda Rolfe tells us. Specifically designed to meet the needs of professionals who need to carry a laptop to the work site, each of the new bags features a separate compartment for laptop storage and protection from tools.
The Tech Backpack (55456BPL) features 25 pockets and includes a hard, molded front pocket to store safety glasses. The bottom is also molded and durable, protecting against the elements. The Tech Bag (55455M) has 22 pockets and, in addition to laptop storage, features a zipper pocket for files and paperwork. It also features a water-resistant material on the bottom for protection. I was able to find the Tech Backpack for $101.31 and the Tech Bag for $77.88.
Klein Tools Tradesman Pro Cell Phone Holder
Helping to protect my phone from further damage or the expense and frustration of replacement, Klein has also designed two cell phone holders. Featuring a magnetic flap closure and a metal belt clip, the Tradesman Pro Smartphone Holders are available in two sizes. One is for smaller phones like the iPhone 4 or 5 (55460). The larger size is designed to fit phones such as the Samsung Galaxy (55461). I found both cases for $18.48 each.
Klein Tools Tradesman Pro Meter Carrying Case
The Klein Tools Tradesman Pro Meter Carrying Case is available in three sizes. The smallest (69406)  is 9.25″ high, 4.5″ wide, 2.25″ deep, and was $23.76 online. The medium (69407) is 10.25″ x 6″ x 2.25″ and is $32.97 online. The largest of the group (69408) is 10.25″ x 7″ x 2.5″ and can be found online for $34.95. Each of the Meter Carrying Cases features two layers of padding for the protection of instruments, PVC-coated polyester for durability, and an interior pocket for items such as instrument manuals. The medium and large sizes include an exterior pocket.
So maybe there’s hope for those of us who are organizationally challenged. Maybe I can reduce the number of trips back and forth to the truck. Maybe I can finally keep an iPhone intact for more than 3 months.
