Skil Twist 2.0 Cordless Screwdriver Design

If youโre familiar with cordless screwdrivers, youโll immediately notice the bulbous section near the driver collet. One of the things that sets this model apart is its ability to pivot and lock into 22.5ยฐ and 45ยฐ angles. Itโs a feature thatโs incredibly helpful when youโre working with fasteners in awkward or tight spaces. Combined with a 6-inch bit or extension, it makes assembly jobs much less frustrating.

To pivot the tip, press and hold the button on the left side, click the tip to the angle you want, and release the button.
One fun addition is the window view that lets you see the driver mechanism spinning. With the Skil logo circling the center, it adds a bit of interest and thereโs a better than average chance youโre going to watch it spin at some point.

The collet is a magnetic 1/4-inch hex. Any standard bits fit, allowing you to use existing bits you might already have or to grab the ones you need for the type of projects you frequently work on.
Using the Skil Twist 2.0 Cordless Screwdriver
You control the forward and reverse directions with the buttons on top of the tool. Press up to move the bit at 220 RPM forward, or back to reverse it.

While youโre working, an LED light illuminates the work area in front of you. It stays on for 10 seconds after you let go of the switch in case you need to take a closer look.
Going along with that speed, thereโs 22 in-lbs of torque, and thatโs a bit more than a lot of the competitors out there. Itโs helpful for many standard size screws, but can be a bit much for switch plates, RC and drone assembly, and other small fasteners.
When you need less torque, press the button near the base of the tool to cycle through three torque levels. If you want to lock the screwdriver and use it manually, press and hold the same button until you see the light turn red.

The screwdriver uses a single 4V lithium-ion battery for power. Itโs an internal power supply that recharges using any USB-C cable, and Skil includes one in the package.
Skil Twist 2.0 Cordless Screwdriver Price
With a rechargeable power supply, design, and selectable torque, you might be surprised to find that the retail price of this screwdriver is $29.99. Thereโs also an option that includes a 28-piece bit set for $39.99.
Considering the price of a good screwdriver set can be in the same range, itโs an excellent value. Look for it at your favorite Skil retailer beginning September 15, 2023.
