The Hilti Green Rotating Laser is engineered withย shock absorbing casing intended to endure ruggedย conditions.ย It features four shock-absorbing handles and an advanced internal damping system, which safeguards the system from drops at standard working tripod heightย (3 ft./1m) to free fall (4 ft./1.5m). At World of Concrete, Hilti employees were knocking this family of lasers over left and right to show the toughness, much to the surprise of the unsuspecting passerby.
Visibility and Range
The new green rotating laser has aย visibleย range of up to 100 ft. This range is extended toย a diameter of 492 ft using Hiltiโs laser receiver. Accuracy is listed at +/- 1/16 inch at 33 feet.
โGreen is the wave (length) of the future. Okay, my inner geek showed there. Green lasers stays visible to the human eye at longer distances than red. The trade-off is that green is a little more expensive and drains the battery more quickly. Even with higher consumption, you should still get 16 hours of run time out of the new Hilti PR 3-HVSG.โ
