Somebody at Husqvarna obviously agrees because they invented the Automower 305. The Husqvarna Automower 305 Robotic Lawnmower is literally a robotic lawnmower โ the companyโs third, in fact. It is silent. Itโs automatic. And itโs designed to give homeowners a perfectly cut, trouble-free lawn. While itโs not for those living on an acre of land, the mower is perfect (and designed) for people responsible for around 5000 square feet or less of lawn area. The tool cuts with the power of lithium-ion, and since it is quiet, it can cut at any time of day or night without worry.
Husqvarna Automower 305 Robotic Lawnmower Features
Theย robotic Automower 305 weighs about 15.5 lbs. This does two things: one, it makes it so that the mower doesnโt crush the grass when it cuts, and second, it makes the machine easily portable (for example, moving it from the front yard to the back). Husqvarna also added its Anti-Theft System, which is standard on all of its robotic lawn mowers. The ATS comes with an audible alarm and even a personal PIN code that renders the Automower 305 disabled in the event that itโs stolen (of course, the thief probably doesnโt know this, so perhaps a GPS tracking device would have been more useful).
Itโs certainly Husqvarnaโs hope that robotic lawnmowers become the norm for smaller lawns. I donโt see why not. As technology advances and parts costs come down, automated lawn maintenance only makes sense. Of course, so does genetically modified grass that simply grows to a certain height and stops, but I digress.
For those concerned about green technology, the Automower 305 cuts without any emissions, actually using less energy thanย a typical light bulb. The only downside, then, is that it costs an astronomical amount of money to bring home โ around $2,400. So, in conclusionโฆ this is a product for very lazyโฆ very rich people. Well, they had me on the first one.
