Dual Power Sources
There are plenty of features to talk about with this light, but one of the most important is that itโs both M12 battery and 120V AC compatible. The lightโs structure is designed to be set up in less than 5 seconds with a height ranging from just over 30โณ to 5โ8โณ at its full extension. Once set up, you can pivot the light 210ยฐ vertically and 270ยฐ horizontally to get light where you need it.
Other features include:
- TrueView light output
- High-impact polycarbonate lens
- High-impact, reinforced legs
- Low center of gravity
Expect a bare tool price of $129 when the Milwaukee M12 Dual Power Tower Light reaches retailers in October.
Where It Fits
If youโre working by yourself, lights in the 1000 โ 2000-lumen range are great for lighting up the small space youโre focused on. Milwaukeeโs M12 Tower Light is right in the middle of that, so outputย isnโt an issue. Having a 700-lumen low setting is helpful when the light has to get a little more up close and personal in tighter spaces.
With plenty of other LED lights to choose from in this output range, the decision boils down to whether or not you need a tower light. It adds a lot of height versatility without the need to find a hanging point and the pivoting action has just about every angle covered. Given what other LED work lights cost, $129 is a good price if the tower design is right for you.
However, if you donโt need the tower, Milwaukee has one of the deepest LED work light lines out there and youโre likely to find something in the family that suits your needs.
