Werner ProForm SwitchPoint Harness Redesigns At-Height Safety

Working at height is risky business, even with the proper equipment like harnesses and support cables. Weโ€™ve seen Wernerโ€™s commitment to safety standards with its Max Patrol self-retracting lifelines, which they created to meet the updated ANSI standards for 2021. Now, weโ€™re taking a look at the Werner ProForm SP Harness to see how they developed and improved upon at-height safety.

Werner ProForm SP Harness Overview

Werner ProForm SP Harness
  • All-day comfort
  • Specially designed leg straps allow for more movement
  • SRL back bumper
  • Moisture-wicking mesh lining
  • Easily accessible dorsal D-ring
  • Stamped-steel chest D-ring

In the event of an at-height accident, you want as much control as possible post-fall while youโ€™re suspended. The Werner ProForm SwitchPoint harness gives you more control and maneuverability while you wait for rescue workers to arrive.

It features a hip-level deployment cord for easy application. Once pulled, the harness puts the suspended worker into a comfortable โ€œseatedโ€ position with freedom of movement and maneuverability for improved rescue operations.

Hereโ€™s what Chris Hillman, a product manager at Werner, had to say about this new safety technology:

โ€œWith safety being our number one priority at Werner, we are thrilled to unveil this new technology that will help people get into a safe position and allow them freedom of movement to assist in their own rescue.

โ€œWe know that our customers require fall protection that can be trusted and the ProForm SP harness was designed to provide a higher level of safety to protect workers in high-risk environments from fall-related injuries.โ€
